Offboarding

Please complete the below steps when returning your device to CSPD ICT. 

This will ensure you have a copy of all the data you need, as well as ensuring the device is returned in a physically clean state.  

iPad/iPhone

2. Sign out of iCloud if signed in: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208242

3. Erase iPad/iPhone: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/ipad/ipad8f91b5e3/ipados

4. Clean iPad/iPhone (including the charger/power brick and adapters etc): Ensure to not use wipes that contain too much liquid, this can ruin the devices.  More detail how to clean your device properly can be found here: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT204172

MacBook Air/Pro

1. Turn off your password.  Go to Apple logo top left, choose "System Preferences", Choose "Users & Groups", Press "Change Password" enter your current password in "Old Password", then leave the "New Password" and "Confirm New Password" fields blank.  

2. Sign out of iCloud if signed in: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208242

3. Google Takeout to get a copy of all emails and 'My Drive' contents (if needed): How to download your Google data - Google Account Help 

4. Migrate any data off the Macbook (if needed): How to back up your Mac — Official Apple Support 

5. Clean Macbook (including the charger/power brick and adapters etc) Ensure to not use wipes that contain too much liquid, this can ruin the devices.  More detail how to clean your device properly can be found here: How to clean your Apple products – Apple Support (AU) 

Windows

1. Back up files (if needed): https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/backup-and-restore-in-windows-352091d2-bb9d-3ea3-ed18-52ef2b88cbef#WindowsVersion=Windows_10

2. Google Takeout to get a copy of all emails and 'My Drive' contents (if needed): https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout

4.
